Q：我心目中獨立製錶界的Holy Trinity
I think it would not be a surprise to guess what my Holy Trinity brands are for Indie watchmaking. My picks would be Haldimann, for being able to create incredibly artisanal hand-made timepieces from his abstract design philosophy, Romain Gauthier, for not only being able to create his own amazing timepieces with high-end finishing but also the sheer CNC manufacturing capabilities to produce precision parts for other brands and, last but not the least, Greubel Forsey, for being creme de la creme in high complications and impeccable finishing.
我認為我心目中的獨立製錶三大品牌應該不會讓大家意外。我的選擇分別是：Haldimann，因為他能夠將抽象的設計理念轉化為擁有極致手工工藝的時計；Romain Gauthier，不僅能夠創造出令人驚嘆、擁有高度修飾的自家作品，而且還具備強大的CNC加工能力，可以為其他品牌生產精密零件;最後而且同樣重要的是Greubel Forsey，他是複雜腕錶和無可挑剔的修飾工藝領域的佼佼者。
Q：收藏裡最喜愛的獨立製錶時計
Based on most of my recent IG posts, it's not a surprise again that my favorite indie watch is my Haldimann H1. It was love at first sight many years ago as it embodies every aspect I love in watchmaking. It's been a very long journey to finally acquire this elusive timepiece, which makes it feel that much extra special.
Simply put, it is just a perfect watch to me.

Q：我認為的獨立製錶明日之星
This is a difficult question to answer as we do see a big influx of young indie watchmakers starting their own brands, especially after Covid started. In my own definition, watchmaking encompasses designing, manufacturing, reliability, servicing quality of the timepieces and customer service over a long enough period of time.
My view is that there has not been long enough time for these so-called "potential rising stars" to prove themselves yet per my definition. So, for this reason, I don't see any yet myself.
這是一個很難回答的問題，因為我們確實看到大量年輕的獨立製錶師開始創立自己的品牌，特別是在後疫情時代。根據我自己的定義，製錶工藝涵蓋了設計、製造、可靠性、 維修品質以及長期的客戶服務等方面，以我的定義來看，這些所謂的「潛在新星」還沒有足夠的時間來證明自己。基於這個原因， 我還沒有看到任何一個品牌能夠脫穎而出。
